Starting with Minnesota grapes
From the beginning, founder Billy Smith’s goal was to create wine using the highest quality grapes. Each variety of grape used is listed on the labels, so customers know exactly what went into their wine. When Smith started the journey that became Warehouse Winery, he promptly planted 400 cold-climate Marquette grape vines in his front yard.
Today, the winery requires more grapes than Billy’s front yard can provide, so we support growers by sourcing high-quality grapes to make our impeccable wine.

The carefully sourced grapes are only the beginning of what makes our wine blends special. Each bottle is carefully made by our expert winemakers. Our approach to wine-making borrows from the Georgian tradition, which draws on roughly 8,000 years of history and refinement. We believe this approach enables us to create a flavor that’s unique and delicious.
